Christopher, I don't have response to your message. But, I'm from Seattle also. I'm in the Champoux (Simpier) line thru Amable Champoux dit Semper (who took the name Abraham Simpier). He was son of Francois Amable Champoux dit Semper (or St-Pair). "Abraham" married Julia Robichaud. I haven't quite found the link yet, but am just beginning to search. My mom's maiden name is Simpier. There are quite a few Simpier's out there. Geneology is very interesting, especially when you come upon sites like this one, with much history listed! I don't live in Seattle anymore, but my mom does. And I will be there to visit in July 2003...
