I have the following children for Charles Sweet married to Eliza W. Troop. This is from "GENEALOGY OF SWEET FAMILY FROM THE TIME OF THEIR LANDING IN AMERICA 1630 TO PRESENT TIME 1914" COMPILED BY F.B. SWEET, M.D.
Charles Sweet (born Lebanon Conn 1810)early manifested interest in bone-surgery and at the age of sixteen, began to be sent about by his father to attend such cases. It was at this early age that he reduced his first dislocation, and fromthat time until his death seventy years later he continously practiced his profession.
His skill, his sterling character, his wonderful resoursefulness, are to well known in New England to need mention. Truly it may be said of him as of the Apostle Paul, "He labored more abundantly than they all."
Charles Sweet married Eliza W. Throop of Lebanon, Conn. To them were born the following children:
Sophia, born March 18,1835
Sarah E., born April 7, 1837
Maria F., born Nov. 28, 1838
Marietta, born Oct. 24, 1840
Charles Jr.,born Jan. 1, 1845
John Henry Throop, born Nov 4, 1848
Eliza Throop Sweet died in 1860.
Charles Sweet married for his second wife Elizabeth Williams of Mystic, Conn. To them was born the following children:
Sarah Elizabeth born Nov. 28, 1869 died June 10 1870
Frederick Benoni born Oct. 7, 1870
George Hubert born June 3, 1875
died June 24 1894
Elizabeth Williams Sweet died July 2, 1879.
Charles Sweet married for his third wife Laura Anderson of Lyme, Conn.
Charles Sweet died Dec. 22, 1896.
