1. George Champion, b. ?, d. ?, m.?. He had children, including:
2. William Champion was born abt. 1829 at Woolrich, England, he d. 1892/3 at Jefferson, Park City, Colorado. Buried: Park County. He was a cabinet maker. He is listed in the 1855 census which shows him 56 years of age. He m. Margaret Pope Waghorn on ?. She was b. abt. 1829, she is shown as age 56 in 1885 census. Her father was William Waghorn. They had children:
3. William Champion, b. 1851 in Woolrich, England, d. 1 Nov 1909 in Denver, Colorado as a Bachelor, he is buried Crown Hill Cemetery, Wheatridge, Colorado.
3. George Champion, b. 10 Jan 1855 in Woolrich, England, d. 27 Dec 1943, Durham, CA., he is buried at Pine Creek Cemetery in Chico, CA. He m. 22 Jun 1886 to Bertha Ortman Gates (Catholic) at Jefferson, Colorado. Her parents were Hans (or Franz) Ortman and Gertude Punnd. Bertha Ortman Gates was born 26 Oct 1863 in Cincinnati, Ohio and d. 9 Nov 1946 in Denver, CO, and is buried in Fairmont Cemetery, Denver Colorado.
George Champion was an editor of the "Sacramento Bee" newspaper in 1930-1940. He retired and lived in Durham, CA. He was also a bookkeeper and grocer. They had children, including:

4. Clarence Champion, b. 11 Jun 1883, d. 5 Sep 1973, m. 30 Sep 1913 in Denver, CO to Romaine Clark Queensh. He later m. on 16 Oct 1954 to Audrey Doty Barner.
4. Florence Gertrude Champion, b. 20 Apr 1894 at Jefferson, Colorado, d. 15 Jan 1974, m. 12 Feb 1918 at Denver, Colorado to Ralph Foster. They had no children
3. Margaret Champion, b. 1856, d. ?, m. on 22 Apr 1884 in Denver, Colorado to James Bucklin of Grand Junction, Colorado.
3. Edith Champion, b. 1867 in Woolrich, England, d. 25 Apr 1956 at Signal Hill, CA, she is buried at Rosedale Cemetery in CA. She m. James Ralph Needham on 1 Jan 1886 in Denver, Colorado. He was the son of Marvin Dwight Needham and Harriet Amelia Pratt. They had children, I don’t know how many, but I am for sure they had:
4. Margaret Josephine Needham, b. July 8, 1893 in CA, d. April 13, 1969 in CA. This is my great grandmother!
