I have Champion's in GA in the early 1800's. They were in Paulding, Polk, and Carroll Counties. They left there around 1850 or shorty there after and went to Texas. But some stayed there I assume. I have a Robert Champion born York Co. SC in 1808. I don't think this ties in with your Robert.
