I am seeking the ancestry of Emeline Champion born 1832 near Etna/Tuckahoe Furnace/Head of the River/Champion's Landing, NJ. Her death certificate (1924) lists her parents as Nathaniel Champion and Mary Layton.
However, CONFLICTING INFORMATION has recently surfaced as a letter written by Emeline's great granddaughter stating that Emeline's father was Sam Champion from Champion's Landing.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
