I MAY have to eat crow

I'm still working on the descendants of William Champion d 1851 Floyd, GA and I MAY have found a link to the William "Jacob" moniker that has been given to he and his son. I think I found Sarah Champion Cross living in 1850 in Randolph Illinois. The census reads as follows:

Joel M. Cross b 1807 KY
Sarah b 1817 SC
William J. b 1836 AL
Amanda M b 1837 AL
Frances M b 1842 AL
Sarah E b 1844 AL
Nancy A. b 1845 ARK
Brunalista b 1849 ILL

What do you guys think? Is this Sarah Champion Cross. I think so given the fact that they were married in 1835 in Calhoun CNTY, AL and the first 4 children were born in AL. And the William J. name? That just might be for William Jacob..........
