AS YOU ENTER JAMESTOWN,VA.about half way from
the entrance to the settlement.on the left side of the road there is a large grave marker to JOHN CHAMPION,Iam sorry I did not get the dates of birth and death.next trip I
will.because in our family there are several
marriages between the CHAMPIONS and HIGHTS or HITES.of WARREN CO. GA.later in ALA.,then
HIGHTS,HITES and CHAMPIONS,moved to TEXAS in
about 1873.I belive a JAMES CHAMPION married a HIGHT,ILL HAVE TO DOUBLE CHECK THIS;;I do
know that J.H. HIGHT married ELIZA CHAMPION ,
22 FEB.1860 IN WARREN CO.also that MARTHA HIGHT married JIM CHAMPION,
