Champion family from Detroit, Michigan

I'm searching for information on Clarissa Champions family from Detroit, Michigan. I have a small amount of infomation about her from a biography written about her husband James Tracy. In the History of Clayton County, Iowa 1882 it says

"James was born in Ireland in 1800; he came to America is 1831 and worked in New Jersey, and then came to Detroit, Mich, where he was married to Clarissa Champion. By this union there are seven children- Mary Ann, John, Henry, James W, Joseph, Nancy, and Lucy Jane."

In the 1860 Clayton county census Clarissa lists her age at 36 so she would have been born around 1824.

Any information you have about Clarissa and her family would be greatly appriciated.
