Thomas and Nancy Cannon Champion, living in Mercer Co KY near Shakertown in 1790 census; a John Champion marries a Mary or May Cannon in Mercer Co in 1794; all move to Washington Co KY. Children of Thomas and Nancy Champion (oral trad, cannot prove): John, James, Jake, Davis (my line), Mankin, Steve, Edd. Davis marries Mary Ann Sweeney Rudd in Washington Co. on Oct 7, 1841. Later they move to Anderson Co KY. Cannot connect to other Bonnie Huff's Champions. Oldest Champion grave found is at Shaker Cemetery - Mary Champion b. 1802, perhaps born in Washington Co. d. Aug 12, 1829; 1850 Mercer Census #189 family of James Smart, age 40, Ky born farmer; Polly Smart, age 30 Ky born, Sarah Champion, age 66 b. PA. Many Champions in Washington Co Census, but can't positively connect them.
