I am considering something similar with the mass of geneological information I have accumulated over 40 years. The LDS (Mormon) Geneological Society has a program to microfilm data and geneological compilations such as yours and mine. You could do this which would make your work available world wide through LDS Familiy History Libraries. These microfilms are available to all researches by ordering from the Main catalog at Salt Lake City. The films are then loaned to the local FHL at the cost of mailing. If you did this then the originals could still be placed as you have indicated. If you think this might interest you let me know and I will send you an information pamphlet.
