Hello! I too am trying to research my Champion family history. My great grandfather, Francis M. Champion, of Catlin, Illinois either had a sister named Margaret Champion or a daughter by that name. I'll check with my mom and find out.
F. M. Champion was born in Indiana, but we don't know if all his siblings were born in Indiana or not. Additionally, I do not know who my great-grandfather's parents were, or where they were born. So I don't know if there is a connection here or not.
