I have the "rare" Cagle family book called " Cagle Census Records Of The South, 1860 To 1910" written by John G. Cagle from Little Rock, ARK. In the 1870 c., it lists Timothy Cagle married to Martha (house #131) in Williamson Co., Ill. Timothy is 39 years old, Martha is 37. Their children are Nancy age 18, James 16, Mary 14, Pleasant 12, Charles 10, Timothy 8, Martha 6, Moody 4, and Eddie 2. Timothy Cagle's father was Charles Cagle, Sr., mother was Polly Demonbreun. (Polly's father was one of the founder's of Nashville, TN). I have extensive work done on this family. Also listed on the 1870 census is Allen Cagle married to Marticia Chamness (This is our direct line) at house #251. It list's the children at home as William 12, Melvina 6, Marticia 1. We come from Melvina Cagle who married John Newton Rushing in 1882. They were really good people. My father in law remembers how sweet and gentle John Newton and Melvina were. He remembers learning checkers from John. Their were other children born to Allen and Marticia, but were out of the house. Let me know if you want a list of those children or anything else. So, in a nutshell, Allen and Timothy were brothers, son's of Charles Cagle Sr. E-Mail me jojo147@home.com Jo Rushing
