I am the grand-daughter of Mahulda Chamness' only full sister, Mildred, and in fact have a beautiful old picture of her I inherited from my grandmother. I know nothing about Thomas Henry Chamness, except what is written in Grandmommy's "autobiography" she wrote when she was ten. He died when she was 4, so her memories are vague; She and Mahulda were the only two children he had with her mother, Lizzie Liles (later, Frazier). Lizzie had children from a previous marriage to Copeland. I've got lots of things that belonged to "Mamma" and there are a lot of pictures that are unidentified. I also have a picture that is labeled: Civil War Veterans: Henry Thomas Chamness, Jim Chamness, Stephen and Bill Chamness (wounded in the foot during the Civil War). I can't tell who it's saying was wounded in the foot: either Stephen or Bill, who are both sitting. That's all I know about them. My Dad tells me Grandmommy had two half sisters (I presume from Henry's former marriage) and several half brothers, (Copelands). If you have specific questions, I can ask my dad and/or sister who remember Lizzie. (All I remember is her harsh black shoes)
