Susan Chamness Bullard Ref Research by Michael Nash ,Louise Tovar and Carol Bullard Hull The Will of G.W.Chamness ,dated 1870 recorded in MS, Old Tishomingo and Alcorn County Will Book, 1854-1921 show the following information : The Will: Filed Aug. 6, 1874 Leaves plantation to wife, Malinda (Allen). It's the NW 1/4 of section 28 township 2 range 6 also 40 acres SE corner of the NW 1/4 of section 27 township 2 range 6 After her death it's divided equally between his nieces and nephews: children of Joab Chamness John H.? Chamness Wiley B. Chamness James M. Chamness and my sisters: Elizabeth Hearn and Susan Bullard. Gives Malinda other possessions, etc. Malinda was appointed executrix of the estate. End of Will info…appears he had No Children and will confirms. Alcorn Marriages list G.W. married Nancy A. Carter Dec. 28, 1850 (this is George Washington Chamness who went to Texas. Born about 1825,we have children G.W. married Malinda Allen March 8, 1860. with additional info below: George. W. Chamness, b. 11 Oct. 1808 d. 4 Aug. 1874 Mary Chamness, wife of G.W. Chamness, b. ? 1800, d. 9 Nov. 1859. They are buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Alcorn Co,MS He later married Malinda and we have reference. They were on 1860 Census as George W.Chambless This would make George W ,Elizabeth Hearn and Susan Bullard brother and sisters to Joab Chamness , but still do not know their parents..Help needed.
