I am do research on CHAMNESS lines from England to Virginia. This is what I have so far to share beginning 9 generations back from me (all not certified/verified).
I am searching for lines/information about John and Ann Jones CHAMNESS and any heirs that lead to current day. Any additionals to this new listing for the forum appreciated.
John and 1. John CHAMNESS (b. 1680 England)
married Ann Jones (b. 1685 England)
(searching notes about birthplace and deathplace)
2. Anthony CHAMNESS (son of John and Ann CHAMNESS) born East Smithfield, London February 13, 1712.
died September 20, 1822 Cane Creek, North Carolina
married Sarah COLE (daughter of Joseph and Sushannah COLE) born May 1, 1818 in Baltimore County, Maryland.
They had 2 known daughters:
1. Sarah CHAMNESS- born February 11, 1741/42 in Frerick County, Virginia. Sarah died January 20, 182 in Rocky River, North Carolina
Sarah married David VESTAL born June 16, 1736 died October 26, 1819 in Rocky River, North Carolina. Sarah and David were married on October 25, 1759.
2. Mary "Mollie" CHAMNESS- born Frederick County, Virginia September 15, 1743
married John Davis (born September 28, 1735)
had five sons
