I am a direct decendant of Jacob Chamblee.
We live in Union, Ms in newton county.
It was interesting to see the forum discussion on Jacob. My father and I visited the cemetary, where Charity Cockrell (his first wife) was buried, in Pleasant Hill cemetary near pleasant Ridge, Alabama. We have not been able to find the burial place of Jacob. I have more research to do, so maybe more can be found on Jakie.
Also D. stoddard wrote Jacob Chamblee marrying Sarah in 1863. Charity Cockrell Chamblee died september 22, 1859. This is on her tomb stone. So I assume she married her after this date.
