Good you have more information than I do. I've never done research on these people, just noticed them in the census, talked with others I've mentioned before and with Jack Chamblee. There seems to be two differing dates for James Monroe Chamblee, Oct 9, 1854 and Sept 10 1853. Donna Smith (noldon@mlode.com) comes through Martin Thomas Chamblee and gave me one date, Jack Chamblee gave me the other. Perhaps some more sifting of info should happen to ascertain why the variance. I find it interesting that James Monroe Chamblee was born in Itawamba Co MS and probably knew, or was aware of his cousins through Jarred Chamblee, my line. James Monroe CHAMBLEE is the great grand nephew of Jarard (Jordon) CHAMBLEE. Their common ancestors are Robert CHAMBLEE. In other words, James Monroe Chamblee's great grandfather was the brother of Jarred Chamblee. Some of Jarred children migrated to Itawamba from Wake Co. I don't have as many children as you do for James Monroe Chamblee. Did you work him out on all the censuses and estate records? I'm hoping the many ancestors of Riley Fletcher Chamblee and Mary Clayton might see this and join in or glean the info they need. Nice to talk to you again.
