Eunice,

I have read all the posts you left here and I can't find where you actually list your ancestry. You name a James, possible son of Lewis Chamblee.

If you list your exact lineage from yourself backwards in time perhaps we can steer you to the right ancestor.

Lewis Chamblee's tribe is NOT the subject of Jack Chamblee's book. He treats the son of Robert Chamblee, named James Chamblee whose children left Wake Co and migrated around the Blount Co AL area. Lewis Chamblee who was born about 1776-1785, was the son of Isaac Chamblee of Wake Co. Lewis DID migrate to Alabama, however, probably with relatives and neighbors as they usually did. Apparently Lewis had a son "Jim Chamblee" born about 1834.

Please post your lineage so we can see this "James" person exactly. There are alot of people who believe printed books, etc., instead of actually looking at the records, thus worshipping the wrong ancestors.

Our research is pretty much backed up with housr and money and time at archives, libraries and other sources.

We'd love to help you, so please be very specific with names, dates, etc. from yourself backwards.
