W. R. d. 1899 Gainesville GA marker needs repair

As I searched for my family in the Alta Vista Cemetery,(also known as the city cemetery)in Gainesville, Hall County, GA, earlier today I saw a very ornate grave marker that needed repair. Inscribed: W.R. Chamblee, Oct 30 1861, Mar 27 1899, Graduated at the N.G.A College 1890, Admitted to the Bar 1896, 2nd Lieut 2nd GA VOL US INF 1898. This was a very expensive marker in a large sectioned area which appears to have fallen into disrepair. I am gussing that a very strong wind toppled the 7', or taller, marble carving, which lies in two pieces nearby on the ground, and a smaller piece is about 5' away inside another marked off area. Should there be any family left I know they would like to see this repaired. This is NOT my line but wanted to pass this along to those interested as a courtsey. May God bless your family, Sandy Reid
