Lewis Martin Chamblee, from Cherokee county GA, was the son of Elijah Chamblee and Frances Day and the grandson of Martin Chamblee. Elijah died during the CW.

Lewis married Henrietta Wheeler, the daughter of Henry H Wheeler and his second wife, Nancy Johnson.
