I am looking for the parents of the Jacob Chamblee that married Janie Sherrod. The product of that marriage was Nora Margret b. 1 Jul 1896 (my grandmother) and Tomi b. 29 Sept 1901.
I have long believed his parents were Jacob Chamblee Sr. and Sarah E. Morrow, however, Their son Jacob (Jakie) was born 9 Mar 1871, and died 20 Oct 1884 (age 13)according to a newspaper clipping found in the Reynolds Family Bible in which notes were made by Sarah E. Morrow. Was there another Jacob Chamblee Jr?
Can anyone shed some light on this for me.
