I just started researching this line so I can't be much help, but start looking in Hall and Cherokee Co., GA. My WAYNEs apparently married Chamblees in those counties in the early to mid 1800s. Also don't be afraid to use other spellings - Shambly, Shamlee, Chamlee, etc. The origin of the Chamblees in my line is South Carolina and they came to Georgia due to the Gold Lotteries.
