Spencer C.(7) Chamberlain, about whom little is known, was born c1801, prob. at Thetford, Orange Co., VT, and was married to Lorinda T. (-?-), b. c1805, VT.Not identified in the 1830 and 1840 census.Four children listed in the 1850 & 1860 census:
- 1850 Census, Lyme, Grafton Co., NH, Spencer Chamberlain, p. 56, #792/821, 11 Sep 1850, age 49, farmer, b. VT; Lorinda, age 48, b. VT; Asahel, age 22, b. VT; Harvey, age 14, b. VT, attends school; Spencer age 11, b. VT, attends school; Frederick, age 8, b. VT, attends school

It appears that this couple went to Wisconsin sometime before 1870, but I haven't been able to confirm these are the same persons:
- 1870 Census, New Buffalo, Baraboo P. O., Sauk Co., WI, Spencer Chamberlin, p. 162, #7/5, 9 Aug 1870, age 69, farmer, b. VT, U. S. Citizen; Lorinda, age 64, at home, b. VT; listed in household of Elvira Chamberlin, female, age 25, $1500/$150, keeping house, b. VT; Esther, age 1, b. WI
- 1880 Census - not identified
The 1880 Census indicates that Esther's mother may have died before 1880:
- 1880 Census, Anson, Chippewa Co., WI, p. 339A, Ester Chamberlin, relationship "other", age 11, WI/VT/VT; listed in household of Baltise Paul, head, age 33, farmer, CAN/CAN/CAN; Rosanae, wife, age 23, keeping house, CAN/CAN/CAN; Sosanae, dau., age 4, WI/CAN/CAN
Spencer C. Chamberlain is 1 of 6 children of Samuel(6) Chamberlain, b. 8 Apr 1766, Thetford, VT, d. 1845 there, who was married 1795 there, to Mrs. Lydia (-?-) Douse. The ancestral line of descent is listed as: Benjamin(5), John(4), John(3), Benjamin(2), Richard(1) Chamberlain.I'm also descended from Benjamin(5), by the way.
Please contact me via Email if you wish to discuss this information in greater detail - you said that you thought that Spencer might be related to one of your ancestors, but you didn't say who this is.
