Mr. Parker, perhaps you can help me. John B Chamberlin was born abt 1862. Census records indicate Canada, but that might not be correct. He married Mercy Chamberlin. She was born May 6 1783, daughter of Joshua Chamberlin and Sarah Brown. They had two sons that I know of, Judge Brown Brainard, born May 22, 1810 and John Darwin born abt 1812. Both children born in Frelighsburg, St Armond, Missiquoi County, Quebec. Mercy's mother Sarah Brown was the daughter of Elijah Brown and Phebe Nash of Richmond, Mass. town of Stockbridge. Mercy and John left Canada in 1812 and moved to Auburn, New York. He moved to Oakland county, Wisconsin and lived with his son John Darwin for a while. Not sure when he died. Other Chamberlin's related to Mercy are Lt Col Brown Chamberlin (Finian Wars) and Dr. Brown Chamberlin who was the Queens printer, elected in 1870. They were the children of Dr. Brown Chamberlin. Lt Col Brown Chamberlin had a daughter Caroline who married Sherman Painter Barnum in Frelighsburg and lived there until he died in 1857. Do you have any information on who John B Chamberlin's parents were? He was also a Doctor as most these Chamberlin's were.
