The trail I am following for D. Webster Chamberlin and George W. Chamberlin (sons of Cyrus), from Illinois to Iowa (and points beyond), is based mostly on census data with a few other resources gathered along the way........

1850 census, China Twp, Lee Co., IL
D.Webster Chamberlin, 17, b. NY and Geo W. Chamberlin, 12, b. IL,living with Cyrus and Eunace (sic) Chamberlin.

Further info for D. Webster Chamberlin:

1860 census, Grand Detour, Ogle Co., IL (just across the river from China Twp., Lee Co., IL)
D.W. Chamberlin, 26, farmer, b.NY living with Sarah, 24, b. Canada and Curtis, 11 mos., b. IL

1870 census, Soldier, Monona Co., IA
David Chamberlain (looks like David but could very well be Daniel), 37, farm laborer, b. NY, Sarah Chamberlian, 34, b. Canada, Curtis Chamberlain, 10, b. IL

1880 census, Union Twp., Crawford Co., IL
Daniel Chamberlin, 46 , farmer, b. NY (parents b. NY NY), living with wife Sarah, 43, b. Canada, and son Curtis, 20, b. IL

End of the trail for D.W. Chamberlin.

This trail follows D.W's son Curtis:

1900 census, Mammoth Spring Twp., Fulton Co., AK
Curtis Chamberlain b. Oct 1859, IL (parents b. NY Canada) liveryman, living with wife Lillie, b. Dec. 1865, IA (parents born OH IA), 2 children born & living, dau, Edith M., b. Mar 1882, IA (parents b. IL IA)

1910 Census, Elmwood Twp. Beaver Co., OK
C.A. Chamberland, 50, farmer (widow or divorced), b. Il (parents b. NY Can), living with E.W. Chamberland (probably D.W.), 76, father, b. NY (parents b. NY NY), Sarah Chamberland, mother,72, married 51 yrs, 1 child born & living, b. Can (parents b. Can Can)

Notes;
This is the last I have on Curtis Chamberlin (son of D.W. Chamberlin). Things get more complicated at this point. I found a few on-line family trees that show Curtis Chamberlin's wife to be Lillie "Rounds" (b. IA). Lillie and Curtis had two known children: Gordon O. Chamberlin and Edith M. (who married Ian(?)Price and had a son named Gordon). In the 1920 census of Kansas City, Wyandotte Co., KS, Lillie is remarried to a man named Pleasant Wheeler. Gordon Chamberlin, 33, b. IA, is listed in this household as Pleasant Wheeler's "widowed" step-son. Edith Price, b. IA, is listed as his "divorced" step-daughter. Also livng in this household are Glenn Chamberlin, 12, step-grandson b. OK and step-grand-son, Gordon Price, 4 yrs and 3 mos.

It appears that Gordon O. Chamberlin, son of Curtis Chamberlin and Lillie Rounds, had three wives. The first "Medie" (per census), gave birth to his son Glenn (ca. 1908). The second Lorena "Rena" Cora Gracey, gave him two sons named Donald Orion Chamberlin and Cecil Owen Chamberlin, both born between 1915 and 1916 in Beaver Co., OK. Gordon Chamberlin went to live in Garfield Co., MT. He appears there in the 1930 census with a third wife, "Edna J." Pleasant Wheeler and Lillie (Gordon's mother)are living in Garfield Co., as well (in the 1930 census).
