"John Chamberlin (~1625) became a Quaker and because of his freedom of speech was imprisoned and when liberated moved with his family to Rhode Island and died there. After his death his widow, Ann and three sons moved to New Jersey. Ann and one son went to Shrewsbary, John Jr. Near Hightstown and Henry Jr. To Hopewell. Each son received a grant of 1000 acres from King George. John Jr. married Hannah Taylor and had four sons Joseph, Enoch, Lewis and John and one daughter, Ann."I am curious as to the family of Henry Chamberlin who went to Hopewell and the Unknown Chamberlin who went with his mother Ann to Shrewsbery. In particular I am looking for a Mary Chamberlin (lain) who married Amos Dey and a Henry Chamberlin who migrated from NJ to VA around 1780+. Am willing to share information. jbutler@uh.edu
