After reading the messages listed here, I am
wondering if my relative ties in with this
family. My great great grandfather William H.
Graves born 29 April 1821 of New York (possibly
Villinona, Chautauqua, NY place where at least
some of his children were born) married
Rebecca Chamberlin born 15 Jan. 1821 of New
Jersey (all I know regarding birthplace). They
were both buried in Spring Hill, Johnson, KA.
I believe there were other Chamberlin family
members living in the last area as well. The
children of William H. Graves and Rebecca
Chamberlin included John H. Graves born about
1839, Ora Firman Graves (my great grandfather)
born 10 July 1846 or 47, and Mary Jane Graves
born about 1848. These three were all born in
the Villinona, Chautauqua, New York area. I
have some indications that they may have
moved to Kansas via Ohio. Also there are
probably children missing from this couple
that I have not found yet given the gap
between John H. and Ora Firman Graves. I am
wondering if my Chamberlin line ties in with
the Hesacurah Chamberlin of NJ discussed here?
