From my research it seems that there were a couple of chamberlin families in and around the area of chenago, delaware, and greene counties. Some were from conneticut ( mine) and some from Vermont. Some who may have stopped farther east then others. There are some chamberlins down in delaware county who went on east in the early 1820's. My guess would be that this is where your folks are originating from. Get in to Delaware county through feeding that into yahoo and see if there is any information in franklin twnship and tompkins twnship, delaware co. that gives you the link. I thought of you the other day when I was in that sight doing some confirming research. I also wonder as there isn't much distance between vermount and conneticut, if they weren't shirtail relatives and said hey this is a great area come on out????? maybe we'll ferret out that info...Elaine
