I checked to see which of the Delaware Co., NY Chamberlains you were referring to - appears to be the brothers William(6), David(6) & Daniel(6) Chamberlain, beginning 1820 census there, and a Benjamin, who was older, listed there in 1810 census, p. 448: 20310-10010. This Benj. is probably a brother [according to expert Prentiss Glazier who cites an alternative lineage for him], and is probably the Benj. who joined the Church at Franklin, Delaware Co., NY in 1807. These brothers were from East Glastonbury, CT, among several children bpt. at Eastbury Parish there, of Benjamin Curtis(5) & Esther Chamberlain, with lineage: [Daniel(4), Daniel(3), Benjamin(2), Richard(1)].
Most of the other early Chamberlains in this area were descendants of Henry(1) Chamberlin.
I would be interested in hearing from you via Email about your Chamberlin research findings concerning descendants, as you mentioned in your posting.
