I am the roster coordinator of the USS Meredith Association. Four ships were named Meredith. DD165, DD434, DD726, &DD890. Please email me back and I can connect you with some of the survivors of the 434 and 726 who may have know him. If you know which ship he was on it will be a little easier. I think it would have been either the 434 or the 726 as they were both sunk during WWII.
