For the benefit of all readers, this is Arthur Chamberlain, b. 23 Oct 1861, Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., MA, d. 1928, Grand Junction, Mesa Co., Colorado, who was married before 1909 (place unknown) to Charlotte "Lottie" Averill, b. 29 Mar 1884, Iowa, d. July 1962, Grand Junction, CO, daughter of Asa Averill & Mary E. Hamblin. The family is listed online in an Ancestry.com "Roberts Family Tree" posted by "kovach87" who is evidently the same person as Julie Kovach, your cousin <juliekov10@msn.com> whose Feb. 28, 2008 email to me provided additional detailed information about this family. Her messsage:

"I am looking for more information on my great grandfather Arthur Chamberlain born Massachusetts,in 1861,the story we have always known is that his mother died when he was very young and his father sent him to live with an uncle, he ran away from his uncles home when he was 12 years old and ended up in Saco, Maine, working for a cabinet maker, around 1885 he may have married a Mary Weaver, who died several years later, he then married Charlotte Averill, and they had 2 children Bessie Chamberlain, and Joseph Chamberlain. In a 1920 census report it say's his father was born in Massachusetts, and his mother was born in Scotland. We do not know there names. any info appriciated."

Arthur Chamberlain's parents remain unknown - one reason is that I've been unable to identify him in census records in 1870, 1880 and 1900, though I have his census listings for 1910 in Magdalena, Socorro Co., NM & 1920 in Sterling, Logan Co., CO. Please contact me, James B. Parker, via Email if you wish, at jbparker@provide.net, so we can share information to provide suggestions for additional research.
