Hi Kimberly,
It's so great to hear from you. I have been casually looking back into our family and it's wonderful to know there are relatives out there!
I knew Lucie personally. We spent many weekends at her house and I still get choked up thinking of her because she was the sweetest and most loving person in the world. I can close my eyes and see her very clearly. My Grandmother was her sister, Carrie Lee. They both had the most wonderful sweet southern accents.
I do not have any photos of Lucie, but have some wonderful memorabilia of George Earle and photos of him as well as a short dictated memoir that Carrie Lee wrote of their time in Washington DC. She was the youngest of the children. You must be the grand-daughter of Barbara? I spoke with her a few years ago on the phone. If you would like to correspond more about this, feel free! my email is: [email protected]
All the best, Leslie Wood
