according to my family tree the Capt parents were Charles Chalmers an Mary Hennderson married 4 january 1828. His brothers name was Major General Charles David Chalmers born 8 June 1837, died 20 July 1893 age 56, he was a Major General in the Royal Artillary. The Capt name is Capt William Gordon Chalmers born 30 Apr 1835, died 21 Aug 1868 age 33 in Kussowlie India, thats according to my family tree......Scott Chalmers
