I found your Elizabeth Chalmers on the Scotlands People web site when I was looking into your query. (My mother is Anita, who posted the first message and we are working on this together).

I found your Elizabeth's death certificate and if I can figure our how to email it to you, then I will. It states that she died on Feb 23 1914 in Coatbridge at 73 years old. It also states that she was indeed the widow of Robert Reid. The exciting part is that her parents are listed. Their names were Henry Chalmers who was a wood sawyer and Elizabeth Marshall. The person who was there at her death was John Reid, her son. It also lists an address in Coatbridge - 77 Whifflet Rd.

I hope that this helps. I don't have any Henry Chalmers in my line that I have been able to uncover yet. If you need any help with where to go next with this information, let me know as I may be able to give you some tips.
