I just located this census record last week so haven't really had much time to figure things out yet but thought i'd check genforum to see if anyone might know more about this family.
I believe the following Lewis Chalker is my James Chalkers family, haven't been able to prove it yet but James was born in Tyre and lived there at that time and this is the only James Chalker i found in Tyre in 1850 census.
