BIRTH:Eli age 35 born NC in 1850 (Pickens AL census 1850 p 62).
Eli age 55 in 1860 (White AR census 1860 Liberty Township p 854).
DEATH:between 1867 and 1870 (Eli plaintiff 22 Oct 1867, A W RICHARDSON adm for John MASSENGALE, asked to be dismissed.Eli does not appear on any 1870 census and kids are all with siblings). Where is wife in 1870???
NOTES:
1850: Pickens AL census Southern District p 62; Eli 35 NC overseer $200 cannot read/write; Nancy 28 AL cannot read/write; Alexander 12 AL school, George 6 AL; also listed in household is family of Alfred GIBBS 22 farmer;Mary A 20 AL; Elbert 18 farmer;Thomas 16 AL; John 15 AL; Elizabeth 14 AL.
1854: moved to Arkansas before last child born.
1858: land Township 9 Range 455 Lot SWNW for 3/4 acres, White, Arkansas.
1859: land patent, cash entry; Section SENW5, Township 9N, Range 4W, 39.15 acres in White AR (Batesville Land Office #13440 part #1).
1860: Arkansas Tax Records on above land.Nearby are Frederick, Mary, Russell, William and 3 Thomas PRICEs.
1860: White AR census p 854; Liberty Township Post Office Juchin; Eli 55 NC, $800/$300; Nancy 50 GA, J W Shamby 18 NC farm laborer, Eli 21 AL farm laborer, Joseph 16 (15?) AL, female H A 14 AL, female N J 13 AL, Betsey 9 AL, female S A 6 AR.
1867: dispute with (bro-in-law) A W RICHARSDON, adm for probate of John MASSENGALE deceased 1864; case dismissed (White, AR Book D p 48 and White AR Bonds and Letters of Adm of Probate Records p 19 #99).
