I find it interesting that there must have been two John Tudor Chalks. The one born 10/23/1849, Chester Co. SC and died 11/08/1912 in Meridian, Lauderdale Co., MS, and the one you have listed, the son of Benjamin P. Chalk. Of course that leads the discussion of which Benjamin Chalk. Is this John's brother Benjamin born about 1851 or John's uncle Benjamin born in abt 1825? The Christian names in this family tend to repeat.
