Lewis Shonyo & Annis Boyden, Maygog,1823

Lewis Shonyo's name in France was
apparently Ouisant Chagnon. He emmigrated
to Magog in southern Quebec province
in about 1822 and married Annis Boyden there
in 1823.

They had at least six children; I'm
a descendent of their son Lewis
(and his son Fred and his son Lewis and
his daughter Ruth) who settled in
Vermont in the mid 1800s. One branch
of this family wound up in the Detroit
area and another wound up in Massachusetts.
