Gilles: Thanks for the reply but I don't think it is a match. My John (Toussaint) Chagnon and Emelie Lamy or Lamie were definitely married in Great Falls, New Hampshire. I think at sometime previously they were probably originally from the Quebec area. I am no further ahead after a year of trying to find out if the church records in New Hampshire show anything further than their marriage. I have someone thru the Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness who has made numerous trips to the church asking for information but has not yet had any success.
