Octave CHAGNON married to Emma L. ______ was living in Colrain, Franklin Co., Massachusetts in the 1910 census. Oldest sons Wilfred, age 22, and Adelard *, age 20, were born in MA. Their younger children were all born in French Canada: Charlie, Angelina, Melvina, Rosina, Fardena (male, probably Ferdinand), Louisa, Vallerin (male), and Noah (probably Noel). According to this census, they relocated from Quebec to Mass. in 1909. Octave had a brother Pierre CHAGNON who lived with the above family in Colrain in 1910. Pierre was age 54 and widowed. Also in the household were 2 of Octave's nephews, perhaps sons of Pierre, Alphege and Emile, both born in Canada. * Aldelard was married in New England about 1911 to Melvina PATENAUDE, daughter of Delphis PATNODE and Emma CHOQUETTE (found as Shacket or Shockette), and lived in Easthampton, Mass. (1920) and Montague (village of Turners Falls), MA in 1930. Thanks so much for considering this! Shari Strahan Notify Administrator about this message?
