Chagnons in Exploration or the Fur Trade?

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had any information regarding Chagnon involvement in the fur trade or exploration in the mid 1600's -1700's. I am particularly searching to see if Louis Chagnon dit Larose (Francois & M-Catherine Charron dit Ducharme)was involved in the trade. He m.abt 11-8-1715 probably in Vercheres to Madeleine Foisy dit Lafreniere, she was the daughter of Martin Foisy, I believe he was a member of the Gardeur Expedition to Fort St.Louis in 1683/1684 and Marie-Madeleine Beaudoin. Does anyone have any info on this couple or other Chagnons in the trade they'd be willing to share?

Thank you.
