I have two Joshua in my tree one is b.1812 in ky the other is Major Joshua b.1748 now Joshua who was b. 1812 his dad was Christopher and mom was Mary polly Roberts Christophers dad was Christopher b Chafin born 1757 His wife listed as Mary ann Vawater his dad was John b.1716 his wife was Mary is all I know .John had a son named Joshua b.1748 he fought in the war hear are the notes I have on him Major Joshua Chaffin, Revolutionary soldier, born October 28, 1748 in Cumberland County, Virginia; married Elizabeth Ester Tinsley in 1769; married Patty Giles in 1800, daughter of Governor William B. Giles. Joshua died April 07, 1824 in Amelia County, Virginia. Their children included John Chaffin who married Elizabeth Booker, Tinsley Chaffin, Jimmy Chaffin who married John Jeter, Nancy Chaffin who married Thompson Scott and Miss Chaffin who married a Mr. Ford.hope this helped if you have any questions email me I will do my best to help Brad
