Hi Phyl,
How are you?
I have been slow to work on family history matters until recently, but some interesting progress has been made. I now have some lovely photos of the Pask house (i.e. where they lived, probably not owned) based on their 1891 address.
My brother and I had no luck today located Charlotte Mary Chaffin's grave - we had a number but it could have been in one of 6 locations and many graves anre now either unmarked or built over. We will try further through the Trustees of the cemetary.
We looked a photo of Charlotte Mary's husband but not of her.
There is some anecdoctal evidence which may tie in somewhere somewhow with your research. Firstly, the couple brought with htem from England in 1907 a small Hepplewhite table - crossed bar, oval top... but it appears gone since the 1970s. Secondly, my father's recollection of his grandmother and her beautiful hands (something not passed on through the Pask line.
We also ascertained that my father's uncle was also Chaffin, i.e. Charlie Chaffin Pask, and used to always sign himself "Ch Ch P".
That's it for now.. hopefully my cousin has a little more information. We will see her 'soon'.
Hope you are well,
Ray.
