In our family it is generally accepted that my grandfather, Arthur Barge Chaffee, was somehow related to 2 men named Adna Richard Chaffee, in addition to his own brother and his own son. One developed light tanks for the Army; the other fought in the Indian Wars and was stationed at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Does anyone have information on them?

Is it possible that Thomas the immigrant's family was French before they moved to England?
