I found the Julia Chaffee which I think you are looking for listed on page 319- no. 1560 in the CHAFFEE FAMILY GENEALOGY by William Chaffee- 1635-1909.

She is the 7th generation and descended from Joseph (6),Benjamin(5), Joseph(4),John(3), Joseph(2), and Thomas(1.) She died in St. Charles, Michigan. She married ...Bixby. The only children listed are Gaius W. Bixby and Norman L. Bixby.

I'm sure you know that Thomas was our immigrant ancestor and is first mentioned in Hingham,MA in 1635.
Joseph was born in Nantasket, MA between 1639 and 1646. He married Annis, the daughter of Richard Martin of Rehoboyh,MA.
John was born in Swansea,MA Dec.16, 1673 according to Plymouth Colony Records You can probably get much of this information online from MA.
Benjamin was the oldest son of Joseph. Joseph Chaffee was born in Woodstock, CT and died in Marcellus, New York 1835. He was married first in Woodstock- May 26,1791 to Clarissa Griggs and second to Roxy Griggs. Your Julia is by the second wife. I know this will help in your search.

Jacquelyn
