Kathleen,

Job Chaffee born in Chittenden, Vt., November 13, 1799, and died in Greenfield, Mich April 24, 1883. He married in Sudbury, Vt., November 1831, Susan, daughter of Abner Hall. She died December 1, 1832 and was buried in Greenfield. He married again in August, 1834, Eliza Jones, who died july 27, 1876. He moved to Michigan from Vermont about 1832. He was a farmer and stone cutter, had a light complexion, blue eyes, and was five feet, ten inches in height. He was Captain of a militia company in Michigan, and a member of the Episcopal Church.

The above statement is from the Chaffee family geneology by william chaffee, 1909, grafton press.

It also shows his 9 children and his decendancy from Thomas Chaffee (first chaffee in america) of 1635.

Clay Chaffee
