Does anyone know anything about my subject individual. She would be my 6G grandmother. She married Jonah Rogers, SR., who according to the Michael Shoemaker book, "was of Ashford, Conn., Windham Co., [on] Sept. 20, 1773, when he bought from Jonathan Chaffee, Jr., of that town , all the right of Jonathan Chaffee, Jr., "To one-half part of one right of land in the Susquehanna Purchase of lands, made by the New England men, which he purchased of John Grant, late of Ashford, March 10, 1770, which Grant purchased of Benjamin Hayward, of Ashford, March 9, 1770, and which right was originally owned by Joseph Hayward, deceased, late of Ashford.""
I am assuming Deliverance was a daughter of Jonathan. Does anyone have more information for me to go on? I have not yet been able to get a chance to look at the CHAFFEE Genealogy book by William CHAFFEE.
