Dear Andrew, Thanks for your quick reply! I'll have to get out The Berkshire Chaffees to figure out all the pieces, but none of our family lived in Berkshire after Azro Buck Chaffee went to Montreal. He married Miriam Jane Chaffee of Knowlton, P. Q. and they produced a large family, from whom came very few descendants! Their daughter, Betsy Foster Chaffee, was my grandmother; she married Charles Howard Peck, M.D. of Newtown, CT and they lived many years in New York. Their youngest son, Dexter Belknap Peck, was my father, and we lived in Bloomfield, CT. I have now lived in Louisville, KY for many years. My four children and their children are all that is left of my grandparents' family - others died unmarried, etc. Have been to see the graveyard in (is it East or West, I never remember) Berkshire several times over the years. Thanks so much for writing - you're the first close Chaffee I've found! Anne Carter Mahaffey
