No, I don't know of a place on the web that has the book online. However, Broderbund Software's Family Tree Maker includes access to arcives of thousands of family trees, many with several thousand members, including several with large branches of Chaffees. I got access several months ago and added about three thousand members to my family tree! I recommend you check it out at http://www.familytreemaker.com. Most of the large software stores sell the deluxe version (5.0) with up to 10 CD's of indexed information and family trees at a discount. I found it well worth the money. Good Luck!
