To aid anyone out there...
There is a book in print published by the Grafton Press written by William H. Chaffee which covers the 1st 9 generations. It was printed in 1909. It is very very rare.
A second book - The Berkshire, VT., Chaffees covers 1801 thru 1952. This was published by the Gilfin printing Company, Richford, Vermont. Originally printed in 1911 and reprinted in 1951. It was compiled by Almer J. Elliot, Richford, VT. It covers thru the 12th generation. This is also rare.
I am 12th generation in the Berkshire line.
Hopefully this info will help some of you in you searches.
Both are available for reference and research at the Mormon Church in Salt Lake, UT.
